This summer I've been working my way through Cook's Illustrated Guide To Grilling and Barbecue A lot of the recipes call for flank steak which I've never been able to find. However, yesterday at the supermarket I finally found a piece -- 3lbs for $20 (!)
Figuring I could freeze half of it I bought it and brought it home. I decided to make their fajita recipe. My quesadillas are one of my wife's favorite dishes, but I bore easily and wanted some variation. Anyway, the dish turned out spectacular. The meat was excellent and flavorful, thanks to the grill. The peppers and onions also worked nicely (thanks to the grill) and the book's salsa/guacamole recipes turned out well too. A delicious compliment to the new Battlestar Galactica.
My lovely wife bought me this neat little "gamer's chair" yesterday. Our TV is small enough that it doesn't work well for the xbox in the new house, as I can't really see it well from the couch/loveseat. So I've been sitting on the floor. The chair is this plastic rocking-chair that looks like a racing seat on rockers. It's definitely designed for people shorter than me, but works perfectly, as I can now comfortably sit closer without having to move furniture around.

Soon I'm going to have to make some friends and have a beef tenderloin or some other huge cut.

...kidding. I think I should buy that. By the way, if you want some flank steak, just look for Carne Asada. I don't know where you live but you should be able to find it unmarinated.
